SURROUNDINGS AND ACTIVITIES

Kořenov village lies on the border of the Jizera and the Krkonoše Mountains, between the towns of Tanvald and Harrachov. It extends at an altitude of 570 to 1025 m.n.m. The village was named after a mountain with roots. It was founded in 1960 by the merger of municipalities Polubný, Příchovice, Jizerka and Rejdice. Kořenov is situated in the Protected Landscape Area of the Jizera Mountains and also touches the Krkonoše National Park. With its area of almost 56km², it is the largest mountain village in the country. Because of its strategic location Kořenov is a popular recreation center. There are many ski lifts, cableways and tens of kilometers of cross-country ski trails in the area and its surroundings. In the summer season you can use many marked hiking and biking trails.

Surroundings Homestead Čert is perfect for outdoor activities. 

Winter sports lovers will certainly use the ski and snowboard areas in the area:

Bavarian ski lift (walking distance - approx. 150m) - 360 meters long artificial light ski slope, ski school, ski equipment rental, buffet and the cheapest far far away. The groomed and illuminated slope serves one lift. There is also a 30-meter rope lift for children. Night skiing is usually on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Ski area near Capa (Prichovice, 3 km) - designed especially for children, has three two-anchor lifts, five ski slopes and a children's slope. The total length of the tracks is more than 2 km. Plenty of snow provides technical snow. Night skiing is on the main ski slope.

Rejdický sportovní areál (4 km) - Ski and the largest snowboard area in the Czech Republic. The area includes 1 cable car + 2 lifts and a children's rope. Extra Park is 950 meters long and contains 20 obstacles. Thanks to the difficulty division into sections [Easy], [Cool] and [Hard] it will suit all snowboarders. You can also try the unique and exclusive training tool “Extra Bag” in the Czech Republic - a giant pillow that will not let you down even in the event of a bad impact. It is available to visitors free of charge as part of a daily pass. The area includes artificial snow and night lighting.

Ski Resort Harrachov (7 km) - on the slope of the Devil's Mountain (1020 m. Above sea level), there are 2 four-seat cable cars and one ski lift. There are four ski slopes of all levels. Artificial snow and night lighting are commonplace.

Paseky nad Jizerou Ski Resort (10 km) - There are 10 kilometers of downhill courses of red and blue difficulty, as well as two snow parks, two ski lifts, a children's rope and a moving belt. Artificial snow and night lighting are commonplace.

Adrenaline sports enthusiasts will also be pleased, for example, bungee jumping, bobsled, Rope Center, quad bikes, geocaching, tricycles or a golf course in Harrachov.

If you prefer water, you can visit, for example, a natural swimming pool, indoor pools or wellness in Harrachov. Thermal springs lovers can make a trip to the thermal aguacentre with water slides and slides in the Polish town of Jelenia Góra (40 km).

If you are looking for a real pearl of the Jizera Mountains, come to a place less than 30 km from us. Between the towns of Hejnice and Nové Město pod Smrkem is located in the charming foothills of the northern foothills of the Jizera Mountains Lázně Libverda.
